Our Mission at Two Waters Therapy is to provide counseling services to assist you with developing healthy coping strategies and problem-solving skills for your daily life and uncover and heal from the root causes of problems which frequently stem back to early childhood traumas or neglect.
Early childhood is the formative years for developing and shaping an individual’s personality and world view. When a child is exposed to verbal, emotional, or physical abuse or neglect, it can have a lasting negative impact on that child’s self-esteem and outlook on life. Through trauma-based therapy and inner-child work, we can unravel our stories and begin the healing process.

I am a certified specialist in the branch of psychology concerned with the assessment and treatment of mental illness and behavioural problems.
Angel graduated from Chatham University in 2015 with a master’s degree in counseling psychology. Angel has been working in the mental health field for over 9 years and has been licensed to practice in the state of Florida since 2022. Angel’s clients describe her as compassionate, intuitive, direct, and non-judgmental.
Angel started off her career working primarily in substance abuse and addiction in various levels of care including Residential, PHP, IOP, and Outpatient as well as having experience with clients on Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT). After working in substance abuse for many years, Angel saw the need for trauma-based interventions to help her clients grow and flourish.
Angel was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2021 and is also familiar with Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as interventions to facilitate healing from traumatic memories.
Have you suffered from a narcissistic abusive relationship? Do you tend to be a caregiver at the expense of your own needs? Have you suffered religious abuse or grew up in what would be considered by most people to be a destructive cult? Perhaps you grew up feeling out of place, misunderstood, and could never fit in socially with peers or family?
Toxic relationships are not limited to romantic partners; they can be with our parents, siblings, friends, and even work relations. Traumatic experiences and toxic relationships leave a lasting, negative impact on one’s mental and emotional well-being, resulting in a life-long trauma wound. This can leave us in a state of perpetual anxiety, depression, isolation, confusion, codependency, and addiction.
In my therapy practice, I believe compassion and understanding are essential to facilitate the healing process and begin addressing inner wounds, dysfunctional behaviors, and codependency. I also believe in the importance of understanding and affirming neurodiversity and the role it plays in an individual’s story. I believe in self-empowerment and strength-based solutions.
I assist clients by providing them with guidance and feedback on how to navigate difficult relationships by setting and reinforcing healthy boundaries with others. Sessions focus on processing traumatic memories, understanding dysfunctional family dynamics and attachment styles, and learning to build a sense of empowerment, self-efficacy, and breaking patterns of codependency.
My therapeutic approach to begin the healing process includes a Person-Centered approach, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and inner-child work. Most importantly, when addressing trauma of any kind, I meet my clients where they are and what pace they are most comfortable with. I would be honored to be a part of your healing journey!
